The Prequel

It all started out when I was a student at Washington High School in Los Angeles, and my Parents (Cleveland A. Winge, Sr., A.I.A. and Ablyne Winge, Community Health Advocate) signed me up for Dental Braces Treatment at USC Dental School.

As a Patient, I made many visits to USC. This provided opportunities to walk through and behold that 'Intellectual Universe,' including its many signature buildings, the Track, and, of course, the Tommy Trojan Statue.

After years of seeing how 'easy' orthodontic dental students had it with the Clinical Instructors and Professors, I thought, "Hmm, maybe I could do something like this, and be called "Doctor," too!"

So, after graduating high school on a Friday, I had to start college that next Monday at the California Western Campus of the United States International University on Point Loma in San Diego. I wasn't aware when I signed up to go there, that it was

right on the Beach!...

...With Beautiful

nightly Sunsets!

And the two years that I spent there were

'Super Gorgeous!'

Now the Campus has a

New Name!

During the September start of my second year at the college, I applied to enter into the Fall Class at USC Dental School, after figuring out how to take the needed Pre-Dental required courses to qualify.

On Saturday Morning, February 10, 1973, I received a letter

from USC Dental School informing me that I

was accepted after two years of College!

And I

finished on time and passed the Boards!

Winge, as a student, appeared in his First USC Dental

School Bulletin!

And He Snagged the

Relax and establish a slow and rhythmic breathing rate, promoting CO2/O2 equilibrium, initiating inhales with the diaphragm, instead of mouth or throat prompting, with a slightly open and slack mouth.
